Boek : John Sutherland – The Castle

Vandaag heb ik het boek “The Castle” uitgelezen. Dit boek is geschreven door John Sutherland.

Alex and Pip are in desperate need of an escape. Their stressful roles as hostage negotiators are eased only by the fact that they get to come home to each other every night.

When an old friend invites the couple up to the Scottish Highlands for an extended break, Alex and Pip jump at the chance. It’s the rest they both need.

Boek : John Sutherland – The Castle

Ik vond dit een heel erg goeb boek. Het was wel weer even het lezen in Engels, maar na de eerste twee hoofdstukken heb ik het boek letterlijk in twee keer uitgelezen. Vanaf hoofdstuk 3 wordt de spanning opgebouwd en die gaat pas naar beneden in de laatste twee hoofdstukken. Het leuke is ook dat ik dit boek gekregen heb toen ik bij Ballindalloch Distillery een fles Whisky The Castle gekocht had. Of had ik de fles Whisky gekregen bij het boek? Het meest bijzondere was wel dat de Whisky aan het grote publiek gepresenteerd werd, op de dag dat ik de Distilleerderij bezocht.
